About Airhouses
Records date back to 1328, when Airhouses was known as Airwis, and 1725 as Aroves. There is a very interesting book called the history of the kirk in the straits, which gives a detailed history of all the farms in and around Oxford over the centuries. Airhouses is lucky to have this interesting book. You are they lcome to have a look. In 1928, the then owner found many interesting artifacts in the national museum of antiquities. Here, they , Martin and carol, bought the farm in 1987, and now they have a herd of aberdeenangus Taurus, some belted terns, a small family of shetland cows, some sheep and many animals that are more "pets" than farm animals. They have alpacas, Orlando and Obama, a beautiful llamas named toffee, three little pigs named snaffer, truffle and Sophie, and shetland ponies named rosie, ruby, biscuits, Ben, Sophie, Mary, waffles and jam.
