About Amedeos
When the proprietor and their lifelong beloved first opened the doors in 1963, Amedeos was established on the ideals of love and family; these two characteristics were still around them when they gently died away on October 20, 2021. The eatery served as a meeting place for those who enjoyed good conversation, Italian cuisine, and NC. State football (the Wolfpack won the ACC title in 1957). Jim Valvano, Sam Esposito, and George Tarantini were regulars at the eatery. They would enter in search of a satisfying meal, but mostly so they could enjoy the company of their good friend. Beyond the obvious name, they were the heart of Amedeos; regulars come for the cozy atmosphere.
