It is very important for them if you have participated in one of All Things Open activities before you have noticed some of the principles. If you don't, they will quickly become apparent. Although you may not agree with everything or agree on anything, they agree. This is who they are. While there is nothing wrong with making money, they have chosen to price registration fees to encourage and enable the entry of "normal" people (e. g. through the door). All Things Open happen to believe that open source, open technology and open networks are the future, that they are only at the beginning of this "wave" and that countries and industries need great people with these skills and expertise. For them, the question becomes: how does someone learn new things, meet new people, and observe technology and thought leaders up close and personal without access to things like meetings?
