April Countdown — $500 at Alii Nui Maui

Alii Nui Maui is a marine reserve with spectacular water clarity and pristine coral reefs. Rated as one of the best snorkeling spots in the world, this reef is home to a variety of beautiful reef fish and animals. More than 400 species of fish are found in Hawaiian waters, more than 25% of which are endemic, found only in Hawaii. Occasionally they will see dolphins, whales, manta rays and Hawaiian monk seals. From the end of December to the end of April, this tour offers a great opportunity to see humpback whales in the National Marine Sanctuary. Alii Nui Maui also offer a large reef system, located near Makena State Park. Caves and ledges in coral and lava create perfect habitats for sponges, corals, octopuses, fish, eels and shrimp. The highlight of this reef is the population of green sea turtles that gather here to "clean" a fish known as the Hawaiian Cleaner Wrasse.
