1767 Designs is a woodworking company dedicated to commemorating Nashville’s historic buildings by reimagining the wood recovered from historical homes. In 2014, 1767 Designs accidentally discovered wood when a house near Nashville’s first apartment was toppled, and they built their first coffee table. Today, their carpentry team works in a 6,000-square-foot studio in East Nashville, creating wall art and furniture inspired by their favorite decorative arts and southwestern design. If it were not for its architectural quality, they would be destroyed by its historical buildings. Their works are built with the same enduring mentality. So far, they have rescued wood from more than 75 historic houses.
