In the 1970s, a group of graffiti skateboarders led by Mark'ALI'EDMUNDS started a crew called zoo soul artists. Members believe this is a problem that runs through five areas, including the use of spray paint and impact craters on their skateboards to hit the subway. Rodney Smith, ELI MORGAN GESNER and ADAM SCHATZ were tired and set out to create a skateboard brand to represent the new brand of skateboard to destroy skateboard with Zoo York name. From skateboard decks and t-shirts, depleted in a grimy warehouse in lower Manhattan, Zoo York quickly developed into an international street twist that has grown into one of the most recognizable lifestyle brands. Now, just after its 25th anniversary, the founders are back to the brand's original taste, back to the street culture roots that represent New York City.
