About XLab
When you register a domain name, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires you to disclose your name, address, phone and other information in the so-called XLab. This large directory, containing all the information about each domain and its registrants, is free and open to the public. Enter any domain in the search box to determine who owns it. XLab can tell you if the domain name you are interested in is available. If it already belongs to someone, you can use the information provided in the database to contact them to discuss the purchase. If you own a domain name, be sure to let your registrar know of any changes to your contact information. This is not only important, if anyone wants to bid on your domain name, this is also a requirement of ICANN.
