Founded in the Great Greensboro Open in 1938, Wyndham Championship is the oldest event on the PGA Tour. In its early days, the tournament alternated between two Greensboro, North Carolina courses: the Starmount Forest Club and the current home Sedgefield Country Club. After 31 years at the Forest Oaks Country Club, Wyndham moved back to Sedgefield in 2008, becoming the only one in the regular season designed by Donald Ross PGA Tour events on the track. The 2020 game at Wyndham Championship is the 81st update to North Carolina's oldest professional golf tournament. This tournament has a rich history and has many of the greatest golfers.
