Windy City Woodwinds has been dedicated to transforming the woodwind mouthpiece industry by creating products that embrace tradition in innovative and contemporary ways. Its founders, Kevin Brahner and Neil Xu, are both very familiar with the tedious and expensive process of trying many different mouthpieces in order to find the perfect one. Its journey began with an extensive research and development phase where Neil and Kevin explored various techniques and techniques that could be applied to mouthpiece manufacturing. Over the course of several months, they prototyped and play-tested dozens of designs until the July 2020 release of the first Jazz Classic Alto and Tenor mouthpiece.
