The Maine Community College System has employed Marie, a chef with certification and accolades, as an instructor for 30 years. They created Wild blueberry Land in 2001 with a commitment to preserve the ecosystem and small farmers. It serves as a tribute to value-added goods and the continued prosperity of small-family farms. Wild Blueberry Land farm, Wild Wescogus Berries, is situated in the picturesque Downeast region of Maine, one of the few untouched regions on the East Coast of the United States. The term Wild Wescogus means "above the sea" in Passamaquoddy. Their farm has a beautiful view of the tidal Pleasant River and Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park.
