One of the biggest performing arts groups in Central Virginia is the Va Rep, a regionally based professional theater with its headquarters in downtown Richmond. The two main seasons that Virginia Rep will present in 2022–2023 are the Barksdale Season at the Hanover Tavern on Hanover Courthouse Road and the Signature Season at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre in the Arts District, both located downtown at 114 West Broad St. They acquired control of the 4204 Hermitage Road-located Virginia Rep Center for Arts and Education in 2022.
