In 1997, Trm Knives started supplying materials to makers of bespoke knives out of their Massachusetts kitchen. In order to manufacture knife scales for knife producers all over the world Vertical Machining Center 1 was bought in 1999. In just 25 years since these humble beginnings, Halpern has developed into a complete knife manufacturing factory. Two Flow waterjets, Berger flat grinders, an Okamoto surface grinder, a Makino wire, two Swiss turning machines, and twentyfive vertical machining centers are among the pieces of equipment used to make them and private-label parts. Two in Trm Knives new prototype shop are dedicated to them. Even though Three Rivers Mfg was established in 2014 as a distinct business from Halpern Titanium, it wasn't until 2018 that they were acknowledged as one of Halpern's "favorite customers.
