The Rad Black Kids is essentially all of them who don't feel like they are represented by the stereotypical views that are applied to them. The founder's desire to see action sports faces that reflect him led to the need for this brand. Because he couldn't afford one, he started by building longboards. His background in architecture made this possible. Using the best rider oriented boards, they began building longboards with riders in mind: utilizing true rider quality decks, wheels, bearings, and trucks of rider's choice. In 2008, after spending five winters snowboarding most weekends, his small Idaho town had nothing to do during the summer. He didn't have enough money to buy a board, so he made one from an old 1996 deck that was still playable. Six years later, in 2014, when an opportunity presented itself, The Rad Black Kids was founded with weather-resistant, durable longboards inspired by women's purses as the initial product offering.
