Spawn Cycles is a family-owned and operated company located in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada, at the center of the famous sea and sky corridor between the north coast of Vancouver and the whistler mountain biking mecca. In 2011, they started looking for a high-quality, lightweight bike for their then 2-year-old son, and prepared him for his first bike. What they found was disappointing - children's bikes don't seem to have changed at all for decades. They are still the low-quality, unwieldy monsters that existed when founder Max first learned to ride in the 1980s and then developed into the freestyle BMX. Max's father was a mechanic, mechanic and welder, and when Max and his friends couldn't find what they needed, they made parts for Max. Knowing that they needed and might have better bikes, they launched Spawn Cycles.
