Shriver's is the oldest business on the ocean city boardwalk in New Jersey and was founded in 1898 by William Shriver as a restaurant, ice cream and candy store. In 1959, It was acquired by four brothers who owned the Dairy Maid candy company. A chain of retail candy and ice cream stores throughout Philadelphia. Today, it is owned and operated by the same family, three generations later. More than 100 years later, the legacy of Shriver's famous saltwater toffees, fudge and other exquisite desserts still exists. No one else on the ocean city pontoon can boast of a rare combination of factories and retail stores where you can see their delicious salty water toffee and other desserts.
