Rose City Rollers consists of more than 400 smart, strong and accomplished women who skate fast, hit the ball and break the stereotype of female athletes and women's sports. Its league consists of 4 home teams, an internationally ranked travel team, 2 juvenile Derby projects, a developmental competition program and an entertainment program. Players range in age from 7 to 60. Rosebuds and rose petals, the youth league, is made up of more than 120 girls. Rosebud skaters learn leadership skills by participating in all aspects of the organization. These young women work together to achieve a common goal, to understand themselves, to gain pride and power.
