Ted hunt, founder of Roarockit, is not a skateboarder, he is a windsurfer. In 2001, when Ted and his wife Nora Jackson windsurfed in the beautiful Maui Island, Ted volunteered to go to the Wineo Visual Arts Center, a non-profit gathering place for artists. Nora suggested building a skateboard deck because it involves bending wood, which is Ted's well-known use in sculpture. Before the method of laminating wood boards in Roquete appeared, it was a challenging process to mold a three-dimensional skateboard. All this has changed as builders of all ages and skill levels design, build and complete the boards they really want.
