About Ripple Rock Racers
Ripple Rock Racers was shaped in 1973. Fundamentally a gathering of cruiser lovers in Winnipeg, Manitoba who needed to roadrace however had no scene to do as such! From the parlor at 569 Rosedale Avenue they framed the Manitoba Roadracing Association or MRA. They connected with the Winnipeg Sports Car Club and held two or three races at Gimili Motorsport Park, a neglected WW2 Bomber Training Base. By 1974 they had CMA authorizing and were essential for the CMA title. That mid year, the photograph of the Ripple Rock Racers was taken by Cal Bailey. The group was Left to Right-Gord Lebredt, John Glassco and Kemp Archibald (myself). Around then Gord was a practical craftsman and made the 10×12 ft they Blowup painting in Black and White dependent precisely upon the photograph.
