About Rideau Vineyard
Rideau Vineyard was established by Iris Rideau in 1997. She became the first female African-American winery owner in the United States. By the time she sold the winery in 2016, the Rideau vineyard had become a beacon of hospitality and tolerance in the Santa Ynez Valley. The concept is now maintained and nurtured by the owners Martin and Isabelle Gauthier and the entire Rideau team. The focus of Rideau Vineyard has always been to make small batches of wine by hand. Hand-picked grapes from their sustainably grown estate vineyards-a real showcase. The land they came from. Almost directly to consumers from the beginning, their wines are most popular in the charming venues of AVA in the Los Olivos district.
