On April 5, 1980, Bill Berry, Peter Barker, Mike Mills and Michael Stipe, founding members of REMHQ, performed for the first time at a friend's birthday party at an abandoned church in Athens, Georgia. Since then, until 2011, when they decided to end the day, the band released 15 albums, toured the world, won multiple Grammy Awards, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and left an immortal legacy of the great songs that defined an era. Since the mid-1980s, REMHQ has been a regular on the syndicate's radio show Rocklin, and less frequently on the most recent show, Modern Rock LIVE. Both shows allow them to interact directly with their fans, who especially like the show, hosted by veteran Los Angeles radio host Bob Coburn.
