About Quick 220
At Quick 220, most of the electrical equipment they use on a daily basis in North America is made to accept 120 volts from their homes' electrical systems without the need for a voltage converter. But, if you've ever purchased a heavy duty casement air conditioner or a piece of equipment of a commercial caliber, you are aware that Quick 220 require more power than a 120v outlet can offer. Your home normally receives 240v of power from the electric company that provides electricity to your community. The 240v is divided into two 120v halves at the circuit breaker panel, known as phases, which share a neutral wire. This is known as a three-wire split-phase system, and your home likely has one. Both 120v outlets for smaller devices and 240v outlets for bigger equipment can be powered by this split-phase system. Nevertheless, if you don't already have a 240v outlet installed, this puts you in a difficult situation when you need to use 240v.
