Qcad is a free computer-aided design software for 2D design and drawing. It is issued under the GNU License. Precompiled packages are available for many platforms, as well as Microsoft Windows OS and macOS. Qcad was developed by Ribbon Soft. QCAD was developed in October 1999, starting with the code for CAM Expert. QCAD 2 was developed in May 2002 to make QCAD more efficient, friendly and flexible and to enhance its compatibility with other products. It will be released as a professional trial version that can run for a certain period of time, or as a community version only as source code, so users will need to compile or delete the QCAD professional plug-ins running in trial mode.
