About Pourchet
The flagship store of Pourchet, located in the heart of Paris beneath the arcades of Place des Vosges, perfectly sums up the house's history. Auguste Gindre, a politician, started a workshop in 1903 to make reticules for his wife, which were small handbags that elegant women liked to wear on their finger or wrist in the early 20th century. However, their daughter Marcelle, who took over the brand in 1920, went on to establish herself as an independent leather goods manufacturer. Twenty-seven years later, the family's passion won over her son Rorbert, who assumed leadership. In the 10th arrondissement of Pourchet establishes the company offices as well as the design and creative studios in a mansion on Rue du Faubourg du Temple.
