In order to take care of their dogs as well as themselves, they formed Portland Pet Food Company. After working as a health messaging consultant for more than 20 years, the founder decided to focus on the nutritional needs of their elderly standard poodle. Katie was unsure of what to feed picky Rosie, who no longer liked canned food and had started to lose weight, and she was astonished by the number of artificial additions in regular dog food. They started preparing Rosie's meals at home, always emphasising naturally sourced, locally available ingredients. With the same wholesome meals and goodies that were created in its kitchen decades ago, Portland Pet Food Company helps canines flourish today with a focus on preservation and fresh, local products.
