Dan and Frank Carney opened a 550-square-foot pizzeria in Wichita, Kansas. Dan and Frank, and friends Richard Beemer and John Bender, made their own pizza. Frank rolled the dough with a rolling pin. Richard threw the dough in the pie jar into the air. Dan filled the unbaked skin with sauce. John turned the pie out of the tin during the baking process. Dan Carney recalled, "People were fascinated by this product and watched them throw the dough on their heads. They really enjoyed it. After the family left, Pizza Hut Blairgowrie turned itself into a place for college-age children to play. Having fun is an essential part of it.
