In 2001, a young pilot in Cairns, Australia, launched Pilot Shop as a mail-order company. About a year later, the business outgrown the Cairns garage, thus it was decided to shift to New Zealand due to mail-order logistics. In 2003, the first retail store opened its doors in Ahuriri, Napier, and shortly after that, another one opened in Rosebury, Sydney, before moving on to Darling Harbour. Today, Pilot Shop offers the broadest selection of aviation equipment in Australasia, with thousands of items available both online and in-person. To the majority of locations in Australia and New Zealand, most products are in stock and can be delivered in 1-2 days.
