About Penrod
In 1967, 22 people formed the Penrose Society. Penrod is designed to support the cultural and educational activities of artists, students, and arts organizations in the Indianapolis area. It pays tribute to the literary figure Sheffield in Indianapolis novelist Booth Tuckington. Penrod is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization based in Indianapolis, whose mission is to support Indiana's artistic, cultural, and educational activities and institutions. The association supports artists, students, arts organizations, and various other non-profit organizations whose missions and programs include art, cultural, and educational activities. At its core is a group of professionals who work together to improve Indiana.
