Original Oyster House is the best oyster bar and seafood restaurant in Gulf Shores & Mobile, Alabama. Discover the amazing taste of their simple southern seafood! Their successful seafood restaurant collaboration began in 1982 when Joe was the executive chef of Gulf Coast State Park on the Gulf Coast and David served at Fruit Distributing. Since then, they have proudly served the finest seafood along the Gulf Coast in a truly southern, hospitable, casual atmosphere. After expansion in 1986, 1996 and 2012, it can now accommodate 300 people and 130 employees. Not only is it the oldest seafood restaurant on Pleasure Island, but it is also located on the Original Oyster House Boardwalk, the area's oldest specialty shopping mall in the area that they bought in 1996.  After years of expansion, the company today includes a gift shop, a dock, 300 seats, meeting rooms and a full service banquet hall that can accommodate up to 100 people.
