Motawi’s team is passionate about making great tiles while spreading its enthusiasm and sharing their experience. This company was founded in 1992 by Naval Motavi, who began making tiles in her own garage and selling it at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market next to the Rutabaga seller. Today, more than 30 people make tiles in a 12,900-square-foot studio and sell them through more than 300 stores across the United States. Motawi uses Toyota's production thinking and methods to develop enthusiasm, continuous improvement and high quality ceramic tiles. There is Naval's motto - it's fun to be a good person!
