Military Aviation Museum 's mission is to save, repair, and fly this historic aircraft, the beginning of 50 years heavier than air flight. Military Aviation Museum 's collection enables a new generation to experience and learn everything their parents, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers experienced in a lonely airport and sky far from home. The Museum at Virginia Beach Airport was one of the largest private collections of fighters, bombers, trainers and seaplanes during World War I and World War II and during the Korean War. Every aircraft has been painstakingly repaired, using as many original parts as possible. As a true living museum, the new aircraft is being restored in facilities around the world.
