Jjva is a North Florida youth sport organization that was established in 1989 by three area coaches with the intention of promoting volleyball among students of school age in the city and the surrounding areas. Mary Andrew, formerly of FSCJ, Elise Bush, formerly of The Bolles School, and Brandy King, formerly of Mayport Middle School, served as these coaches. This association has grown from three teams with thirty players and three coaches to 74 teams with more than 500 players and 70 or more coaches in the past 30 years. By providing educational training and competitive playing opportunities to players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, Jjva aim to promote the sport of volleyball as well as health and fitness throughout Northeast Florida.
