About Jackson Wellsprings
Beautiful Ashland, Jackson Wellsprings, hosts a festival. A healing setting for gathering, enjoyment, and relaxation are provided by the WellSprings spa, event spaces, and gardens. WellSprings is committed to fostering the best possible human and environmental health and is home to the Health Research Institute, a non-profit organization that funds educational, botanical, and environmental restoration programs. The warm artesian waters on the beaches of Bear Creek, revered for centuries by First Nation groups as a place of ceremony and childbirth, were given to natatorium and sanitarium use by Eugenia Jackson in 1862. At the start of the 20th century, Jackson Wellsprings Hot Springs, one of numerous mineral spring developments that attracted thousands of people each year to Ashland to partake of the waters, was renowned for its therapeutic mineral waters.
