About Harris Levy
In the late 19th century, their great-grandparents came to the United States, a land of opportunity, and they dreamed of making their families live a better life. Harris Levy dream of freedom that cannot be imagined where they were born. They had experience selling goods in the yard. Harris Levy worked and saved money. Until 1894, they had enough money to rent a trolley and a place on Orchard Street, the famous Lower East Side of New York. They sell goods there; very good quality tapestries and yard goods. In 1994, on the 100th anniversary of their marriage, a reporter asked what they were most proud of. They replied: "They are most proud of the first three generations of families. They taught them to cherish hard work, loyal customers, honest employees, honest suppliers, and great countries that make this possible. "
