About Golan Products
After working as a contract manufacturer for the them defense department for a decade, Golan Products Products began producing filters for the first time in 1994. The TRAP Radiator Filter was their first filter for the general market. It worked great on the majority of combustion engines, but radiator manufacturers in the 1990s found it unacceptable and rejected it. Golan Products met K&N Engineering's then-president, the great legend Nate Shelton, during a sales pitch for the TRAP Radiator filter in Riverside, California. They had discussed the possibility of selling the TRAP under K&N's label; however, Nate was not interested in it because he was aware that selling it would be difficult. If you ever develop a fuel filter, come see them again, Nate suggested. Their thoughts were racing to create a fuel filter before they even left the door.
