Gig Harbor Fly Shop began online as Wilderness Angler in 2004. They opened a physical forte retail location in March of 2009; it was then that they changed their name to accept the nearby Gig Harbor Fly Shop waterfront. The shop was very generally welcomed, to such an extent that they grew out of their underlying shop (affectionately alluded to as the upper room) and moved January 2011 to a lot bigger and noticeable area only a couple structures down Harborview Drive. Aiding new fishermen has been a concentration since day 1. They have had a huge number of fishermen go to their basic fly fishing courses just as their on-the-water facilities (lakes, streams, and Puget Sound sea shores).
