The state of Arkansas has a long history with Finnegan Medical Supply. In the 1950s, it was a Little Rock pharmacy. In 1984, their family, the Fowlkes family, bought it. As Finnegan Medical Supply pharmacy expanded over time, so did its presence in the community. It established itself as a pillar of the community in which it stood. They began to hear repeatedly that their patients and doctors required more than just medication. Additionally, many were in need of medical supplies but were unsure of where to obtain them. Products for incontinence, nutrition and enteral feeding, catheters, and numerous other items were added to the pharmacy's inventory. However, it soon became abundantly clear that the medical supplies required their very own warehouse. In 1991, they established Health Services, a company that provided medical supplies. They began shipping medical supplies to patients throughout the state from its Little Rock-based offices and warehouse.
