It all started with a desire for a bigger sound for their own 2009 Kawasaki Voyager 1700 ABS. After installing an amplifier under the hood, they decided that the 5 1/4 "speaker - or even the aftermarket speaker - was not going to cut it. They started designing an adapter that would allow the 6 1/2 "speakers to be installed into the factory location. The key is that it has to be simple and non-destructive. Started from 27 years of engineering design, including some very complex aeronautical tools, they wanted to design an adapter that would not only be functional, but would compliment the design of both the traveler and the Vaquero at Engineered Adapters.
