They started the family-owned small business Draftwood Design. Their company, which has been making furniture since 2015, is based in Phoenix, Arizona, where they were both born and raised. They took a big risk and started their own company after working "9-5 jobs" in real estate and the corporate sector for many years. Twigs and Twine, their first small business, is a vintage shop that specializes in giving antique furniture a fresh look through expert restoration with custom lacquer. After revitalizing vintage pieces for two years, Mark had another goal to start creating furniture from scratch. He did his own research and training to build furniture! He produced their first Draftwood Design after spending months honing his skills, doing research, and creating sketches. They got a special request to create eight cabinets as soon as he finished the first one! They quickly embarked on their next journey after that.
