Dom itp was founded in 1990 by Jan Krynski and started as a hardware store in Chicago under the name Polski Hardware Inc. Jan, an immigrant from Poland who returned there after the fall of communism and was amazed at the excellent quality and reasonable prices for many Polish handmade Products such as glass, porcelain and ornaments. They specialists are looking for the most beautiful and unique handmade household goods from all over Europe, especially Poland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Portugal, Italy and more. Dom itp offers a handpicked selection of household goods, clothing and gifts mainly from Poland and around the world. In 2002 the demand for these products was so great that Jan opened two more stores with his wife Grazyna in northwest Chicago and started importing more varieties of the finest Polish handmade products.
