About Denver Firefighters Museum
The mission of Denver Firefighters Museum is to preserve the history and firefighting of the Denver Fire Department by collecting and preserving artifacts, files, and photos. The purpose of Denver Firefighters Museum is to educate the public about fire safety and Denver's fire history from its inception to the present. This is achieved through explanatory exhibitions, educational planning, and academic research. Education is the main focus of the museum project. The content of the education plan is guided by its relevance to the mission statement. The project aims to provide participants with an opportunity to understand how fire safety and prevention directly affect their daily lives. The purpose of the exhibition is to entertain, educate and guide the public to pursue new interests. Another purpose of the exhibition is to give the public a better understanding of the origin and development of current community interests, activities and attitudes.
