DayTripper was established in 1987 by then-visit transport driver Myron Stam under the name Hollywood Association. It started out as a home-based startup business run by just one person that occasionally offered one-day trips to the Price is Right TV show and other Hollywood game show tapings. The name of the business was changed to DayTripper in 1989, and as a result of the increased demand for additional tours, the company's operations were expanded to include numerous additional locations throughout the Southwest and Mexico.
