When Susie Bean Lemire and her husband, Doug, sold their pizza and convenience store in Lincolnville Beach, Maine, they moved to York in search of a new retail business. They brought their entrepreneurial skills together. They made Daisy Trading a little structure on Highway One in York, Maine, which recently held their moms classical business. This grew quickly as their categories expanded to include home and garden decor, furniture and lamps, whimsical signs, and gifts for all occasions. A larger building, Doug's active role, and a brand-new seasonal location in Ogunquit with the same name emerged.
