They have got it origins in the flea markets of Winnipeg, MB. Curtis Collectibles founder, Darryl, grew up reading comics, watching re runs of Star Trek, and was in the theatres watching Star Wars. A New Hope when it was released in 1977. A long time Sci Fi and comic book fan, collecting became a hobby. Living in Canada, access to new collectibles has always been limited and frustrating. Curtis Collectibles saw the need for better access to new collectible products and this was the beginning of their shop. Originally selling on eBay and then in Flea Markets, this led to too much overhead cost driving up the price. Eventually, sales moved to Facebook Marketplace and Kijiji. The natural progression has led to the creation of this website.
