About Cherry Lane Theatre
Cherry Lane Theatre was initiated in September of 1998 and fills in as an imaginative birthing space for new American plays. Establishing Artistic Director, imagined the 60-seat discovery theater and it was planned by Samuel Anderson Architects. Their Studio profited from the liberality of maker who gave sixty seats from The Lamb's Theater, and board part Jack Gindi gave their specialized stall, sound and lighting sheets. The seating was overhauled and made retractable in 2006 with a liberal award given by New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn. The Cherry Lane Theatre is a place of refuge for the improvement of new plays. Their projects permit writers to sharpen their work without the tension of audits before complex, thrill-chasing crowds who need to find the intense new voices of today.
