About CDE Software
Founded in Los Angeles in the early 1980s, CDE Software became the pioneer of Quicken's goal of establishing a checkbook financial plan, the Checks and Balances. In 1989, founders Patrick Lajko and Ray Yokoyama saw a niche market and developed the BLS Bowling League software, leveraging Patrick's love of bowling as a young man and his expertise in computer software. Shortly after launching the BLS, CDE Software moved its offices to Seattle and retained them. Over the years, the CDE's bowling League secretary (BLS) has developed into the premier league management tool. In 1994, CDE began to integrate with the electronic scoring manufacturers, with QubicaAMF being one of the earliest partners. Other areas of expansion include tournament and bracket software as well as kiosk software and bowling clip art.
