Back in the 1960s, a father and son, Harold and Tom Lender ink, had a common interest in trees. One has a degree in forestry and the other has a degree in timber technology. Through their knowledge, they developed a way to make and print Cards of Wood made of veneer. Over the years, Harold and Tom perfected their technique in microchip technology and made business it a hobby. These Cards of Wood are durable, beautiful and unique. Before long, friends and colleagues wanted to prepare it for themselves. By the mid-1970s, they found their hobby in high demand and profitable. Harold and Tom were soon swamped with orders and decided it was time to hire another employee and make his card public. Since then, the Woods of Wood have been expanding. Harold's grandson Tate bought the company in 1990 with a desire to grow and expand.
