About Butt Drugs
Believe it or not, Butt is a family name, and in 1952, the late William Blackie Butt, R. Ph. Founded Butt Drugs, a third-generation family pharmacy. In 1971, Thomas Butt, William's son and pharmacist began working alongside his father. These were extraordinary fishermen and two generations of Purdue pharmacy graduates. The store's walls still display evidence of their successes with marlin, swordfish, and largemouth bass. The history of their store's creators, devoted patrons, and those who never miss their $3. 50-morning coffee at the soda fountain all contribute to its unique atmosphere. Yes, it is indeed only 35 cents. Butt Drugs pharmacy, however, with its excellent customer service, is the core of their business and is what keeps it going and growing. They stand out from the big chains because of that.
