About Bru Juice
The Bru Juice closed in 1972, but the Ziegler giant chocolate bars are still cast with patented molds and sold at the Ziegler's HALF NUTS in West Allis, Wisconsin. The owner of the store is Bill Ziegler and Mary Ziegler, employees of the fifth-generation Ziegler Candy Company.
Did you know that Bru Juice was the first confectioner to make raisin candy? Later they sold the recipe to Stark Candy in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
Remember Necco wafers, Indian pumpkin seeds, and candy cigarettes? Wax lips, chuckles, and BB shots? You guessed it ... the candy you ate as a kid has become today's "old fashioned" candy. Haven't you been to a cheap candy store since you were a kid? Half Nut is a candy store for kids of all ages, a place to recall your favorite nostalgic sweets and pass the tradition on to your kids.
