Boobie Bar was born in 2011 when their founder, lactation consultant and neonatal nurse Wendy Colson decided it was time to create nutrition bars for nursing mothers. There is no such product on the market, especially one designed for busy moms, and Wendy knows nursing moms need her help. Over and over again, Wendy's nursing patient asked her what she could eat to help increase the milk supply - drawing on her experience as a lactation consultant and interest in baking, Wendy's nurse began creating a home kitchen in her body with milk-enhancing nutrition bars, using her patients and three daughters as taste testers. With some adjustments to the formula here and there, and a lot of feedback from her breast-feeding mother, Wendy started Boobie Bar for women participating in a weekly breast-feeding support group in the San Diego area.
