About Bento Picnic
It is the Japanese tradition of using 5 colors, 5 tastes, and 5 techniques to craft meals that are balanced, delicious and nourishing. They first learned about Bento Picnic by reading Elizabeth Andohs cookbook, when they were in culinary school. They learned about them, the Japanese tradition of making complete balanced meals. But it was not until they lived in Japan that they were fully immersed in them. Then their understanding of its potency really started to solidify. It is the magic to making meals that are reliably delicious AND healthy. Ever since then, Bento Picnic has become the cornerstone of their personal cooking philosophy, and it is at the foundation the concept and menu at their picnic.
